News: New Publisher - Info and website

Good Afternoon,
Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Ed and I'm an aspiring publisher.
My own writing career has gone (and is still going) nowhere despite some very positive feedback from numerous agents and even publishers over the last few years, mainly due to my non-conforming to rigid genres. With this is mind I'm considering starting an independent publishing house using one of the plethora of POD publishers that have sprung up in recent years.
I've created a website for it and want to promote up and coming authors via that and then, further down the line, a quarterly compendium of short stories in the vein of gritty, funny, British fiction (I'm calling it 'Radgepacket - Tales from the Inner Cities' - what do you think?)
I know from my own experience that there are lots of good unsigned authors out there that would contribute and appreciate the publicity (I will also be ensuring that links to the site and then copies of the publication end up on the desks of agents) and was wondering whether this would be anything that may appeal to your members?
You might like to have a look at the site first and get an idea of what we're about.

In order to maybe make the site stand out and gain instant credibility I've approached the author Danny King and he has kindly given me an exclusive piece of work and an interview to post on the site for it's launch. He is also approaching his publishers 'Serpents Tail' with a view to a link up of sorts that would give anyone who was successful when submitting for inclusion on the site a good chance of being viewed by a well known publisher.
Anyway, I'm sorry for rambling on and for possibly being a bit cheeky in approaching you like this but I am genuinely passionate about helping out the unsigned and unloved talent that is in Britain today. I realise that our content and approach won't be to everyone's taste and won't be offended and won't be offended in the slightest if you're not interested but if you are and you think your members might benefit from the publicity then please pass them the link. Also, while we can't make allowances for quality on submissions, we will view any that come from your group sympathetically and quickly.
Thanks for your time and if I can be of any assistance with anything while you're considering this then please don't hesitate to contact me.
Cheers
Ed
