  Workshop dates: 7 October, 21 October and 4 November 7pm - 9pm.

   

  'Perform : Content'

  "... is a fortnightly drop-in group for poets who perform, or wish to perform, their work in public. The sessions will focus on the content of your work and how you present it to an audience. There will be writing exercises to create new material, and physical exercises to improve your performance skills and stage confidence. There will also be a chance to get feedback from the rest of the group on the content and performance of individual examples of your work. Whilst the workshops are aimed at those with some experience of writing and performing, they are also open to those with less experience of one or the other, or both. The vibe will be friendly, informal and supportive. Numbers are limited each fortnight, and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Contact Dionne Marland or Pete Kalu at Commonword if you want to come down, and if you want feedback on your work please email a written copy and/or an audio/video recording of it in advance."
