Monday Night Group

  October has begun and we are counting down to the very first Chapter & Verse Literature Festival, beginning 9 October on National Poetry Day, kicking off with a host of free poetry-based events in the Hub and on the BBC Big Screen in the afternoon, followed by special evening events with Lemn Sissay on the Mersey Beat poets and National Poetry Day Laureate Paul Farley joined by acclaimed Latino poet Martin Espada!

  We have 11 days of a packed and varied programme all under the historic Bluecoat roof - fiction, poetry, workshops, performances, discussions and more - and I very much hope you will be joining us for some of our exciting events. Get in quick for your Tariq Ali (10 Oct); Jim Crace (10 Oct); Jan Morris (11 Oct); Linda Grant (11 Oct); Jennie Rooney and Carol Fenlon (12 Oct); and Helen Walsh and Sadie Jones (12 Oct), which are all selling fast.
